Welcome to Northern Transformation

Founded in 2010, Northern Transformation is a nonprofit partner of the Michigan Works! Region 7B Consortium.  Region 7B has been engaging employers and job seekers since 1978 serving the six lower counties of Northeast Michigan.  

Northern Transformation's reach goes beyond the 6 counties that make up Region 7B to cover all 19 counties of Northeast and Central Michigan.  

Why it matters

The three lower counties of Northeast Michigan mark the official start of "Up North".  Our region from this point north is distinct in character, economies and make-up.

The Northeast has natural attributes of open green and blue space that are unmatched.  The long term health and sustainability of our region is stronger with all 19 counties working together.
